Pee Wee Division

The Pee Wee Division program is for players age 4 - 6 who want to learn the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, fielding, sportsmanship and teamwork in a fun, noncompetitive environment. As this is usually the first experience for most players, a softer baseball (tee-ball) is used during practices and games. In Pee Wee, players learn how to hit a ball off a batting tee, run the bases, basic fielding techniques and to have fun!

Program Characteristics:
 - Players League Ages: Boys & Girls 4 - 6
 - Rosters are typically 10 - 12 players per team
 - Games are limited to 3 innings or no new inning after 1 hour, whichever comes first
 - All players bat every inning
 - All players play the field every inning
 - No score will be kept
 - HAVE FUN!

We consider coach and friend requests when forming teams in this division. These requests are not guaranteed. 

Farm Division

The Farm Division program is for players age 5 - 7 who want to learn the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, fielding, sportsmanship and teamwork in a fun, low-key environment.  Softer baseballs are used again in this division.  In the Farm Division, players learn how to hit a ball pitched by their coach, run the bases, basic fielding techniques and having fun.

Program Characteristics:
 - Players League Ages: Boys & Girls 5 - 7
 - Rosters are typically 10 - 12 players per team
 - Games are limited to a maximum of 4 innings OR no new inning after 1 hour and 15 minutes, whichever comes first
 - All players bat every inning
 - All players play the field every inning
 - No score will be kept
 - HAVE FUN!

Rookie Division

****We recommend most 7 year olds (league age, not actual age) do not play in Rookie. That said, every year there are some exceptionally gifted 7 year olds who would benefit with playing up with 8 & 9 yr olds.  Ultimately, it's the parents decision****

Rookie is the first competitive division at DRLL and is for players age 7 - 9 who want continue to learn the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, fielding, sportsmanship and teamwork in a fun, low-key environment. At this division, we use a normal baseball.  This is the first division that introduces kid pitching.  Players will pitch the first two innings of every game; then machines are used for remaining innings. In Rookies, players are primarily focused on skill development. This is the first division to introduce keeping score.  Standings are also tracked at this level.

 - Players League Ages: Boys & Girls 7 - 9 (8 - 9 is recommended)
 - Rosters are typically 10 - 12 players per team
 - A post season tournament will be played to determine the league champion
 - Games are limited to a maximum of 6 innings OR no new inning after 1 hour and 30 minutes, whichever occurs first
 - All players are in the batting order 
 - Only 10 players play the field. There are minimum play requirements to ensure everyone plays the field
 - Scores are kept during the game
 - Little League pitch count rules apply to all players
 - HAVE FUN!

Teams in this division are formed through a player draft.  No coach or friend requests will be considered. All players will be assigned to a team.

AA - Minors Division

The AA - Minors Division program is for players aged 9 and 10 who will continue learning the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, fielding, sportsmanship and teamwork. This is the first division where all pitching is done by kids.  Scores and standings will be kept throughout the season.  At the end of the season, all teams will participate in a tournament to determine the league champion. Although this division has an increased level of competitiveness, the primary focus is still on personal development, encouragement, team work and having fun.  Players in this division are eligible for selection of the post-season All Star team.

 - Players League Ages: Boys & Girls 9 & 10
 - Rosters are typically 10 - 12 players per team
 - A post season tournament will be played to determine the league champion
 - Games are limited to a maximum of 6 innings OR no new inning after 1 hour and 45 minutes, whichever occurs first
 - Pitching distance is 46 ft.
 - All players are in the batting order 
 - Only 9 players play the field. There are minimum play requirements to ensure everyone plays the field.
 - Scores are kept during the game and league standing are maintained
 - Little League pitch count rules apply to all players

Teams in this division are formed through a player draft.  No coach or friend requests will be considered. All players will be assigned to a team.

AAA - Minors Division

The AAA - Minors Division program is for players aged 10 and 11 who will continue learning the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, fielding, sportsmanship and teamwork. Scores and standings will be kept throughout the season.  At the end of the season, all teams will participate in a tournament to determine the league champion. Although this division has an increased level of competitiveness, the primary focus is still on personal development, encouragement, team work and having fun.  Players in this division are eligible for selection of the post-season All Star team.

Majors Division

The Majors Division program is for players aged 11 and 12 who want continue to learn the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, fielding, sportsmanship and teamwork. Some additional advanced rules are incorporated in this division (e.g. dropped third strike).  This is a player pitch division.  The objective of this division is to establish the values and concepts of teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play; to challenge the players towards the perfections of physical skills and to continue to instruct and learn the tactics and strategies of the game.   Score is kept and there is a tournament at the end of the season to determine the leauge champion.  Player in this division are eligible for selection of the post-season All-Star team.

Juniors Division

The Juniors Division program is for players aged 13 to 14 who want continue to learn the fundamentals of throwing, hitting, fielding, sportsmanship and teamwork.  Registration numbers will drive our ability to offer this division. This division does start later than any other divisions.  This division participates in inter-league play with the other junior teams in District 14.  Practices will be held at the Eastmark Fields.  Game locations will vary in the east valley.  

Program Characteristics:
 - Players League Ages: Boys & Girls 13 & 14 
 - Rosters are typically 12 - 15 players per team
 - Practices are held at the Eastmark Fields
 - Team(s) will play against neighboring Little Leagues. 
 - This division participates in inter-league play with the other junior teams in District 14.  
 - Game locations will vary in the east valley
 - Little League pitch count rules apply to all players
